As many of you know, Mike and I own our own FDNY ladder truck. We drive it in parades, and basically, it's Mike's toy. Miss Maelie hasn't gotten the chance to ride on it yet as it's put away for the winter. Also, Mike volunteers for the local fire departments, taking photos of the fires, bringing rehab supplies, and lending a hand when needed.
WELL, today, Daddy's Little Girl got to experience her very first fire! There was an unfortunate house fire in one of our local communities, so we got Maelie in her 'jump suit' and we all went. Her and I stayed in the SUV for the most part, but when the action had died down, Daddy had to show off his little girl...
